We are looking for a Building Compliance Administrator to help continue to grow our business into an exciting future.

This role is responsible for working with our customers, inspectors, and key suppliers to deliver 12As and Building Warrants of Fitness. To notify building owner(s) of any defects and non-compliance in order that the building owner(s) are provided with the opportunity to bring their building up to a safe standard for the building occupiers.

You will report to the Branch Manager in Wellington but also work closely with the wider team.

Having been acquired by new ownership, CoveKinloch Compliance is in growth mode. With a diverse team of around 20, and new owners who were responsible for launching and scaling Uber in New Zealand, the role will provide an opportunity to work in a growing and changing business, with an extremely supportive team to back you in the journey. We are in a really exciting growth phase and are creating a new position to adjust to our growth.

This role will can be based either in the Wellington or Waikato region. You will have the opportunity to partially work from home.

Another great benefit is that because we work 9 hours Monday through Thursday, you will also be able to take every Friday afternoon off.


You will be responsible for working with our inspectors and subcontractors to issue BWOFs on time using CKCL’s software system, Uptick.

Your key accountabilities include:

Assisting inspectors in planning their runs and workload
Reviewing inspection reports, improving them, and sending them to clients
Working with key customers on their compliance, and potential compliance remedial work.
Communication with the inspection team to resolve issues for customers
Reporting to clients on status and progress
Working with contractors to issue 12As on time
Issuing annual Building Warrants of Fitness and 12As on time
General office administration and ad-hoc requests
Identifying continuous process improvements

Experience in the building compliance or commercial property industry is preferred but not essential.
