This year I have facilitated sessions on changes to the Building Act. The main focus has been on Compliance Schedules. The sections of the Act are insignificant in number compared to the amount of work involved to get the job of an updated Compliance Schedules. So we can have all the knowledge and the facts at hand but its implementable ideas we need. So let’s look at some facts and ask ourselves what have I done with those facts and how they have been implemented?
Facts: There has been a changes to the Building Act this year. All Compliance Schedules need to be updated to meet these legal requirements. The law says that owners have until March 2013 to comply.
Implementable idea: Pass this info sheet (written by DBH) to all building owners / managers who are affected by this.

Compliance Document changes
Facts: Nearly every Compliance Document has been amended (and some re-written) since they were first published by BIA in 1992 through to amendments made in 2012 by DBH.
